girlfriendluvr:

a friend of mine called artist @gomigomipomi (a popular splatoon artist) out for whitewashing splatoon’s marina, gomi responded by idiotically accusing my friend of “blackwashing” pearl for drawing pearl as black (so they believe in reverse oppression lol), and siccing their huge followerbase on her. she is now receiving massive amounts of vile racist messages.

in addition to gomigomipomi themself, here are other people who sent my friend hate for being a poc calling out whitewashing under the cut:
